This is a brief tour showing some of the buildings at Camp Red Wing
As you come to Camp Red Wing you will be greeted by this sign. This is Indian Jim who lived on the Rees farm where Camp Red Wing in located. This image was created by Tom Ryan who drew the "Tumbleweeds" cartoon series.
Eagle's Knob Lodge - 1933
Eagle's Knob was donated to the Delaware County Boy Scout in memory of Ned Robbins. The cabin was built from old cabins from throughout the county. When the cabin was erected, A tree was in the way and needed to be cut down. In moving the tree an Indian was found buired at the base of the tree with his arms crossed. The remains were buired in a concrete vault beneath the building
Cub Shelter
This shelter was built and dedicted to the memory of David Barber - July 2, 1970
Rifle Range
This shelter was rebuilt as a Firecrafter project in the 1980's. To the left is an area used for archery.
Kovel Cabin
Was built in 1971 by the O.A. Lodge 512 as a Memorial to Dr. Kovel. It has served as a Camp Office, a Trading Post and a First Aid Building. It is currently being used as a lodge for the Camp Master program.
Kawanis Lodge
This lodge was built as a gift from the Kawanis and replaced another they had built that was destroyed by fire. It serves as a dining hall and gathering place
Shower House
. This new facility was finished in the Spring of 2000. It was built by a major gift from Drs. John and Ann Eliades.
